Nichola is a PhD Candidate at University of Leeds, currently in her second year of post-graduate study. Her research focuses on the ways in which participatory video can support public health promotion, and her Phd forms part of a wider project exploring the use of participatory video as way of understanding antibiotic misuse in Nepal. The project uses a Participatory Video methodology to explore issues of gender in a rural area of Nepal – in particular how health seeking behaviours and relationships to antibiotic use are shaped by gender. The project culminates in showcasing co-produced videos to local communities and policy makers in an advocacy campaign that aims to impact policy related to antibiotics and AMR.
