Background

For full details see the COSTAR Project Brief

To date, effective and sustainable community engagement (CE) interventions that address the contextual drivers of AMR through a One Health approach have not been evaluated and scaled up. COSTAR will work with communities, stakeholders and partners across Nepal and Bangladesh to

  1. Understand the One Health landscape of AMR.
  2. Co-create community engagement interventions which allow AMR knowledge to be shared across stakeholders, facilitating behavioral change at local level.
  3. Robustly evaluate the ability of these interventions to be effective, equitable, participatory and cost effective.
  4. Build an infrastructure for knowledge exchange which ultimately impacts on national and global policy.
